Mishawaka's Independence Day Festival to have more options this year

Mishawaka’s Independence Day Festival is returning with even more options this year!

Tethered balloon rides, a beer fest, an escape room and inflatable obstacle courses are among the new features.

The popular 300-foot zip-line also making a return this year.

The day will start at noon and finish with fireworks at dark.

The event is happening next Saturday, June 30 filling Central, Battell and Kamm Island parks on the river near downtown.

Entry and most activities are free though you’ll pay for rides and food.
