Get ready to splish, splash and glow with the crew from Toy Story.
Disney H2O Glow Nights is a new summer event taking place at Typhoon Lagoon every Thursday and Sunday through August. The water park gets transformed into a glow party complete with a DJ dance party on the beach, club like-lighting and Toy Story character meet-and-greets.
Rex, aka Partysaurus Rex, hosts the festivities, which is suitable for all ages. A 14-foot version of the recognizable, green dinosaur, decked out in party gear, greets guests behind the DJ station.
The event gives guests a unique and rare chance to experience Typhoon Lagoon at night.

“It’s very rare that we just open (Typhoon Lagoon) to everyone,” said Mark Dukes, general manager of Disney’s water parks. “Being out here at night just changes the whole feel of the park. When the sun goes down it’s got amazing charm to it. It’s just so cool out here. It’s a little cooler weather wise, it’s just fun.”
All attractions at the 60-acre water park will be opened for guests to enjoy. There will even be a unique, adults-only area, the Wharf, which will have a private bar, entertainment and additional seating areas.
Dukes said this is a great opportunity for park visitors to ride the attractions multiple times with no or minimal lines. Guests will even get a chance to experience a recently opened, new family raft ride. Miss Adventure Falls has no height restriction and is the longest ride in the history of Disney water parks.
Special food and beverages will be offered during H20 Glow Nights.

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon was inspired by a legend of a typhoon, earthquake and volcanic eruption. The events combined to create an inland sea with break waves, a towering watershed mountain and a stranded shrimp boat. Attractions include a water-coaster, a toddler-geared water playground and a lazy river.
