Summer break is coming to a close for many students in our area.
Students in most Mobile County Public School System schools return on Monday, Aug. 6 (Fonde Elementary already started), and students in the Baldwin County Public School System return on Wednesday, Aug. 15.
Here are some back-to-school events happening in the next few weeks in Mobile and Baldwin counties.
Back To School Blood Drive: FOX10 News is hosting a blood drive here at our station (1501 Satchel Paige Drive) Friday, July 27, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Join us for a good cause. Free school supplies will be given to donors.
Second Annual B2S Drive: Saturday, July 28, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Municipal Park. There will be games and food. Kids will also receive free school supplies.
End of Summer Bash: Monday, July 23, 1 to 2 p.m. at Semmes Branch Library (9150 Moffett Road). The party includes fun, food, school supply giveaways and music by the Back Porch Boys.
Summer Reading Celebration Back to School Bash: Saturday, July 28, 10 a.m. to noon at Ben May Main Library (701 Government St.). There will be games, crafts and snacks. Back-to-school supplies will be given out as door prizes to some lucky winners.

Back To School Bash: Sunday, July 29, 10:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Creola Assembly of God (9580 Old Highway 43). Children 5-12 will get a Bible lesson and then do fun water games and activities. There will also be bounce houses and free lunch.
3 P’s: Pens, Paper & Pencils: Saturday, July 28, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Goodwill Church Ministries International in Prichard (1038 Grant Ave.). There will be a school supply giveaway and police officers will be on hand to talk to children. It’s in an effort to bridge the gap between law enforcement.
Back to School Bash Weekend: Friday, July 27, to Sunday, July 29, at Celebration Church in Saraland (10 Saraland Blvd).
Family Friday – July 27th (6 pm-8 pm)
There will be old fashion carnival food, door prizes, games and music
Splash Saturday – July 28th (10 am-2 pm)
One Day VBS Splash Day for K5-5th. Organizers ask that kids wear a swimsuit, bring a towel & dry clothes.
Backpack Sunday – July 29th (11 am-1 pm)
Kids will receive FREE school supplies and a FREE lunch.

Back To School With Red, White & Blue: Saturday, July 21, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fairhope United Methodist Church (155 South Section St.). There will be a cookout, water activities, haircuts, sports physicals (from 10 a.m. to noon) and free school supplies. The student must be at the event and be accompanied by a guardian. The guardian must show proof Fairhope residency to get the free school supplies.
Back To School Bingo: Tuesday, Aug. 7, 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Daphne Public Library (2607 US 98). Kids can play bingo and earn free books and/or school supplies. Pizza and snacks will be served. Signup is required.
Gulf Shores Back to School Beach Bash: Thursday, Aug, 16, 6 pm, at the west end of the Gulf Shores Public Beach. It will feature music, campfires and all of the makings for s’mores for free.
The Chosen Youth Ministry’s Back To School Bash: Saturday, Aug. 4, 6 p.m. at Lyle Underwood Stadium in Bay Minette (East 6th Street). Will feature free food and school supplies for students and teachers. There will also be a performance by award winning Gospel singer Casey J.
Back To School Cutout & Cooks: Saturday, Aug. 4, noon to 2 p.m., at The Rat Pack Barbershop in Foley (113 West Orange Ave.). There will be free hot dogs, chips, cold drinks and $10 haircuts.
