"Partners In Education" kick off new school year

COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL) – Partners In Education is kicking off it's 31st year focusing on career opportunities for local students.

The "PIE" kick-off breakfast Friday morning provides an opportunity for hundreds of volunteers and partnering schools to discuss goals for the upcoming school year.

"PIE" has seen a great deal of success in partnering schools, including more than a 200 point increase in the reading proficiency measurement, Lexile.

The Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce has a thorough process to partner businesses and organizations with schools in need.

If you're business or organization would like to be a Partner In Education, you can do so by contacting the Chamber of Commerce via e-mail or phone (706) 327-1566.
