There is not better time to be in Paris than during Fashion Week. There is a vibe that permeates throughout the city that makes one want feel that the world is their runway. The streets are filled with sartorial delights—either emerging from a show or just about to catch one. Chic haunts or cafes from L’Avenue to Café Kitsune are filled with the world’s most stylish, enjoying a fresh brew or sipping on a sparkling mimosa. And while the entire city during this time of the year is a fashion spectacle in itself, there is nothing quite like walking through the doors of the Carousel du Louvre or Plaza Athenee to watch your first PFW fashion show, invite in hand, front row seat waiting. Through the eyes of today’s fashion girl, it is as monumental as being whisked off by Prince Charming.

France’s beloved beauty company, L’Oreal Paris, is mounting one of the biggest fashion shows this year, and everyone is invited. Staying true to its philosophy of making fashion and beauty inclusive, L’Oreal Defile, which happens on September 30, will feature a 60-meter catwalk atop the River Seine. The surrounding area will be closed off from 2PM to make room for around 200,000 audiences who each have a seat to this grand fashion spectacle. Viewers worldwide can also catch this show via live streaming.

Models who will appear to walk on water will wear the most current collections from over 12 design houses that include: Balmain, Elie Saab, Giambasta Valli, Isabel Marant, Miumiu, Off White, Pierre Hardy and Sonia Rykiel, to name a few. L’Oreal’s resident makeup artist Val Garland and hair stylist Stephane Lancien will take the lead backstage as they create the looks that will set the tone for beauty in the coming seasons. L’Oreal Paris Global Brand President Pierre Emmanuel Angeloglou explains, “Le Defile L’Oreal Paris is our opportunity to share during Paris Fashion Week an extraordinary experience with everyone! We are delighted to invite thousands of members of the public to a celebration of every element of our brand’s DNA: Paris, beauty, creativity, fashion and diversity—with the River Seine as our majestic backdrop.”

If you happen to be in the City of Lights this month, you know which show not to miss. L’Oreal Defile happens on September 30, 2PM. Entrance is on Port de Solferino, Paris 75008.
