Women are wearing absolutely nothing under their jackets

Forgot something?

That’s what some bystanders were wondering when they saw fearless fashion vixens at last week’s ready-to-wear shows rocking the latest look: an open jacket worn over bare breasts. That’s right — no top and no bra, just unfettered boobage.

“Everybody is pushing the limits nowadays and figuring out a cool, unique way to show some skin and be body positive,” says Emma Holt, 24, who paired a vintage Yves Saint Laurent jacket — unbuttoned and sans blouse — with lace leggings by Wolford at Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty lingerie show on Wednesday. “A lot of my friends are doing the same thing.”

The public-relations rep, who skipped the double-sided tape and pasties, says she isn’t concerned about inadvertently flashing anyone. “I don’t worry, because I have a small chest, and I’ve always been confident with my body,” she tells The Post. “Nothing will pop out!”

The wardrobe-malfunction-in-the-making has long been a red-carpet staple, favored by everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow to Blake Lively. Just last week, Hailey Baldwin showcased her bikini-top tan lines in a Pepto-pink jacket; rapper Saweetie bazoomed out of an unzipped windbreaker; and pregnant model Slick Woods displayed her huge baby bump, sternum tattoo and cleavage from a gaping tux.

But the look is now being adopted by civilians — even during the day. Perhaps the phenomenon is inspired by the body-positivity movement, which asserts a woman’s right to be comfortable in her sexuality and whatever clothing she chooses, without judgment.

“I am empowered by my body,” once wrote Kim Kardashian, who often parades about in low-cut menswear — underwear and pasties be damned. “The body-shaming and slut-shaming — it’s like, enough is enough.”

Jojo Zarur, a stylist and star of “Love & Hip Hop: Miami,” couldn’t agree more. On Wednesday, the boutique owner posted an Instagram video of herself strutting out of a Fashion Week event, barely contained by a shiny, yellow suit. The in-your-face video is cheekily set to the song “Careless” by the City Girls: “Bitch, I don’t give a f – – k, I don’t care.”

“A lot of people look at me crazy for revealing,” 26-year-old Zarur tells The Post, adding that she’s frequently criticized for it. “I do what I like to do, and I love fashion, and to me, this is fashion.”

Indeed, Yves Saint Laurent’s iconic “Le Smoking” jacket, introduced in 1966, is the gold standard when it comes to the tailored-suit-over-birthday-suit look. Bianca Jagger famously wore the couturier’s white-skirted variation on golden skin when she married Mick Jagger in 1971. Nearly every designer has introduced a take on tailored menswear for women, and just this season, Brandon Maxwell, Libertine and Escada sent their shirtless interpretations down the catwalk.

Of course, risking a near nip-slip on the catwalk is entirely different from, say, hazardous exposure at the office.

“Context is everything,” says Jessica Morgan, co-founder of the celebrity fashion-critique website Go Fug Yourself. “Know your audience and keep everything wrangled.

“If you’ve got a meeting with your incredibly conservative in-laws where you plan to ask them for a loan, maybe steer clear. But if you work in a creative field, the rules might be different.”

For maximum security, fashion expert and television personality George Kotsiopoulos recommends using double-sided tape under both lapels and minding your posture — and your attitude.

“Stand up straight,” says Kotsiopoulos, “and don’t complain about getting too much attention.”
