SPRINGFIELD — Thousands of people were at the fairgrounds in Springfield Saturday for the Antique Festival of the Ozarks.
Several rare items were among the mass of collectibles from hundreds of dealers across 15 states.
Antique furniture, jewelry, kitchenware: You name it, today's event had it.
For nearly a decade, the festival is a place for those who love genuine treasure hunts. Event Promoter Gail Kinney talks about just that.
"Everybody loves to think about the good ole days. So you really enjoy kinda of wandering through here reminiscing and having the opportunity to maybe buy something that your mom had in her kitchen when you were a kid," Kinney says.
The festival also runs Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking is free.
There's also another event in Eureka Springs, Arkansas starting on November 16th.
