Mishawaka celebrates centennial of armistice that ended WWI with 2 events

MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WNDU) – There are two events happening Sunday in Mishawaka to remember the centennial anniversary of the armistice that ended World War I.

The first event is an observance at St. Joseph Church at 11 a.m. It will include an extended bell-ringing, a prayer and a patriotic song, followed by Mass at 11:15 a.m.

Meanwhile, the city is dedicating a plaque to commemorate the Mishawaka veterans who lost their lives in World War I. That is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Mishawaka City Hall.
