Get festive at one of these 6 Christmas tree lightings in Boston

Once again, it’s time to watch Boston’s Christmas trees light up for the season, and the festivities begin this month. Ahead, discover six festive tree-lighting events taking place across the city.

Santa and his elves will be part of the Macy’s tree lighting at 5 p.m. Nov. 23 in Downtown Crossing. The fun begins at 2 p.m. in the children’s department of the store, where families can pose for photos with Santa and take part in family-friendly activities. The lighting will take place outside on Summer Street, where the store will unveil its festive holiday windows as well. The Boston Children’s Choir, Grammy-nominated R&B singer Keri Hilson, and indie pop/rock duo Heffron Drive will all perform. (Friday, Nov. 23 at 5 p.m.; 450 Washington St., Boston)
