From layering your clothes, to donning silk or going for metallic hues, winters are times when one can experiment with their looks and look their fashionable best.

Here are a few tips:

Art of layering: Men can try cowl-necked asymmetrical hybrid silhouettes of kurta-shirts and layer it with brocade or embroidered dinner jackets. To add a fun element they can play with velvet drapes. Stylists feel that art of layering not only makes you look trendy, but also keep you protected from the mild cold that begins during this period.

Metallic magic: Kurtas in metallic shades are again in trend. Men can pair it with coat or blazer and finish the look with monk strap shoes.  It is always suggested to play safe with metallic. And the best way to do so is to choose dark shades as metallic hue option. To avoid any style chaos, you can keep the lower half simple and muted to balance the look.

Simply silk: Silk is always in trend. To mark a sophisticated look, men can go all in silk. A linen jacket with a silk kurta and silk churidaar will be absolute effortless dressing. Silk as a fabric is very delicate, so it is always good to avoid body-fitted kurtas and churidaar. Keeping them a bit loose makes the body movement easy during the rush hours.

Military mileage: Military-inspired silhouettes with feminine drape details are something that men can experiment this festive season.  For the traditional touch, they can accessorise the look with crystal/medallion brooches and explore colour blocking on hems & patched pockets. This print is quite off-beat and hence it is important that you feel confident in it. In case, you feel you can’t carry it smartly, avoid it and opt the best shot to draw lens attention.

Foot fetish: Nothing can beat the magic of mojri, sandal and kolhapuri chappals. But, in case you are the one looking for a little trendy stuff, you can pair the traditional outfits with brogue or patina shoes.

Accessory alert: From abstract brooches to quirky pins, men can try either of the types keeping their taste in mind. Also, they can go for fresh flower, as a brooch to highlight the look.

Colour creation: Avoid wearing dark or dull colours and say yes to shades like bottle green, royal blue and orange.

Blocking bash: Try the women’s trick and use colour blocking as the smart way to look stylish and vibrant. It adds a perfect festive look. So for instance, if you have worn a blue colour kurta, you can wear a cream or a light yellow colour pyjama.

Roll up royalty: Full sleeves Kurta look good and hot only if they are tight. If your kurta sleeves are loose, it is always the best option to roll them up. And rolled up sleeves increases the sexy quotient
