The Festival of Lights will return to Lake Julian starting on December 1, and News 13 got a preview of what they will look like.
According to the Lake Julian Park Manager David Blynt, there are 54 light displays this year, some as tall as 25 feet.
The “walk-through” will take place on December 1, and will cost $5 for adults, according to Blynt. Children can attend the event for free.
“The walk-through is relatively new. We’ve been doing it for a few years now. Last year, it exploded. We went from 400 participants two years ago to 1,200 last year. We’re anticipating it increases even more this year,” Blynt told News 13.
There will be popcorn, crafts for children, s’mores, and a special guest appearance by Santa Claus himself.
The only walk-through is on the first, but people can drive through to see the display every night after 6 p.m. from December 3-23.
The cost to drive through the display is $10 per car.
