Las Vegas holiday events and light shows for 2018


LAS VEGAS – There are numerous events and displays around the Las Vegas valley for the holiday season. 

Opportunity Village's Magical Forest
The Magical Forest is turned into a winter wonderland as it celebrates more than 20 years with hundreds of dazzling trees, concessions and winter-themed carnival games. It is open from Nov. 23 – Dec. 31. Click here for details.

Holiday Cactus Garden at Ethel's Chocolate Wonderland
Experience the annual light display that features a beautifully lit 3-acre cactus garden with 1-million lights. There are visits from Santa every Friday – Sunday until Christmas from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. The display is open from Nov. 6 to Jan. 6. Admission is free. Click here for details.

Glittering Lights
The display is a drive-thru experience where visitors can see millions of twinkling lights at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The admission cost is $20 – $30 per vehicle. The display is open from Nov. 9 to Jan 6. Click here for details

Train rides with Santa
Springs Preserve if offering the "Holiday Express," which goes on a special journey to Santa's Winter Wonderland. The Holiday Express runs on Dec. 7 – 9, 14 – 16, 21 – 23 from noon to 6 p.m. Click here for more information.

Cosmopolitian Ice Rink
The ice rink returns on Nov. 21 when the Boulevard pool transforms into a holiday spectacle high above the Las Vegas Strip. Visitors can enjoy roof-top ice skating, roasting s'mores and light snow showers. From Nov. 21 – Jan. 6. Click here for more information.

WinterFest in Henderson
The city of Henderson is hosting the annual WinterFest celebration on Dec. 7 & 8th at the Henderson Events Plaza. This year's theme is "North Pole Adventures." There is tree lighting ceremony and fireworks on Friday night starting at 6 p.m. and an Evening Light Parade at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8. Click here for more details.

Bellagio's Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
You can also check out the holiday exhibit  featuring a themed Botanical Garden at Bellagio. It features hundreds of plants and flowers in a glamorous winter holiday theme. The event is free.
