The unicorn trend may have been surpassed by mermaids and charcoal, but Gik Live’s wine is hoping to bring it back. And given it hits pretty much all the Instagrammable drink buckets—rosé! glitter! millennial pink!—it’s making a pretty solid case.
Unicorn Tears is a pink wine created by the same people who debuted blue wine back in 2015. Per the husband and wife team’s website, they’ve “created a magical wine that brings happiness and optimism to their small winery in Navarra, Spain.”
“It is well know that unicorn tears have the power to transform unexciting days into wonderful days,” it goes on. The bottle, wrapped in a pretty pink and white label with a cartoon-like drawing of a unicorn, definitely stands out from most other wines. You’d have to be a grinch to at least not crack a smile at the bottle if you saw it in the wild!
As for what’s inside, the couple is staying mum, jokingly writing that the wine is made with real unicorn tears in an undisclosed location. What we do know is that it is a cotton candy pink-colored rosé—just look at that pour!
Unfortunately, the bottle is only available in the EU right now. It’s sold in three, six, or 12-bottle packs, for what breaks down to 10-13€ a bottle ($11-15). For anyone in the U.S., keep checking back here for availability! Gik’s blue wine eventually made its way to the States, so there’s hope yet.
