WASHINGTON COUNTY, OH (WTAP)- For the first time, Marietta College, Washington State Community College, and the Washington County Career Center have teamed up with Jobs and Family Services and Building Bridges to Careers to create “Career Connect”, a career fair that will properly meet the needs of job seekers and employers.
This career fair will replace the smaller annual career fairs held by each individual entity.
Employers will have a more targeted audience with high school students, college students, and those seeking full time employment attending the fair at different times of day.
“I think this shows a real commitment on the part of local leaders to effect change and to make sure that Washington County specifically is staying on the cutting edge and helping individuals grow. It shows a real collaboration between Marietta College, Washington State, and the Career Center that they’re going to work together to help folks,” says Flite Freimann, the event coordinator.
The fair is scheduled to be held at the Marietta College Dyson-Baudo Recreation Center on April 4th.
Service providers, employers, and job seekers can register at www.marietta.edu/career-connect.
